If you submit a working prototype of your software by March 1, 2014, we will pre-evaluate it on a subset of your task's test data and notify you of your performance. Based on the pre-evaluation, you may revise and resubmit your software for the full evaluation by May 01, 2014.

If you register for the CLEF conference by June 30, 2014, you may do so at a reduced fee.

Notebooks

We ask you to submit a notebook paper, and a short abstract for printing. Please prepare the two texts as outlined below. For your convenience, we provide templates for both.

Abstract

Please prepare an abstract to be included in the printed proceedings of the CLEF conference. The abstract should at most 400 words, and be structured as follows:

  • Title, authors, affiliations, e-mail addresses
  • Body of text, which should contain information on:
    • tasks performed
    • main objectives of experiments
    • approach(es) used
    • resources employed
    • results obtained

To prepare your abstract, please use this Microsoft Word template. Please do not use any other document format.

Notebook

Please prepare a notebook paper which gives a concise description of your approach. If you submitted softwares for more than one task, you may submit one notebook each. Your notebook will be accepted by default and it will be published as part of the CLEF conference proceedings.

The deadline for submitting your notebook is June 7, 2014. Your notebook may not exceed 8 pages, including references, and it must follow the Springer LNCS style guide. Please describe only the approach you implemented to solve the task.

To prepare your notebook paper, we have prepared templates for both Latex and Microsoft Word which follow the LNCS guidelines.
